Time Is Another Way To Serve

Volunteer With Us

Volunteers help ensure veterans find accurate care, verified support resources, and trusted community when they need it most. Giving your time is just as valuable as financial support to our 501(c)(3) mission. Whether you have an hour a month or can champion a community outreach project, we welcome your service.

Ways To Help

Every volunteer role directly strengthens our suicide prevention and veteran support efforts:

  • Community Outreach & Awareness: Helping connect local veterans, VFW posts, student veteran organizations, and military families to our free lifelines.
  • Resource Verification: Calling and verifying operating hours, specialized PTSD services, and contact details for clinics and Vet Centers so no veteran in distress is met with outdated information.
  • Peer Community Guidance: Veteran and family volunteers who help welcome new members, support healthy discussions, and foster connection within our peer circles.
  • Academic & Transition Mentorship: Assisting student veterans and military families navigating university admissions, GI Bill resources, and civilian career adjustments.

How To Apply

Email contact@vetvp.org with the subject line Volunteer Inquiry and share a little about yourself:

  1. Name and Location: Your name, city, and state so we know where you are based.
  2. Area of Interest: Whether you want to assist with community outreach, resource verification, peer circles, or student mentorship.
  3. Availability: How much time you would like to offer, whether that is an hour a month or a regular commitment.
